Mission Statement for EDNCPHA
EDNCPHA supports the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services and Environmental and Natural resources in promoting public and personal health in Eastern North Carolina and Allied agencies.
Sections of EDNCPHA
Health Education:Committed to providing opportunities for professional networking, continuing education and professional growth and development for health education advocates.
Oral Health:Protect and promote the public and personal oral health of the citizens of NC.
Lab:Establish and maintain a constant and effective coordination and professional relationship.
Nursing:Serve as a channel through which personnel employed on pubic health nursing services can share techniques and information for the enrichment, improvement and to increase the effectiveness of public health nursing.
Home Care:To enhance networking of Eastern North Carolina Home Health Providers in order to promote and provide quality home care to citizens of NC.
Environmental Health:Promote professional standards of performance, promote a greater degree of cooperation with all health personnel; promote an active participation in all Environmental Health Organizations and associations; to stimulate interest and improvement in public health practices and procedures.
HIV/STD:Provide a forum for the presentation and discussion of issues related to HIV and other STD's; to propagate an environment of continuing HIV/STD education for public health professionals; to facilitate networking among public health professionals and related industry representatives; and to publize public health's contribution to the state of NC and its citizens.
