PAST PRESIDENTS

| The first recorded annual meeting of the EasternDistrict
North Carolina Public Health Association was in 1961. It was
organized in 1960 with Dr. L.E. Kling and Charlie McCotter
as co-chairman. They drew up the constitution and by-laws
after the meeting in 1960. Prior to that time, there were
and Eastern and Southeastern Public Health Workers' Conferences.
The Eastern voted at a meeting on July 1, 1960, at the Biltmore
Hotel in Morehead City to apply ofr affiliation with the North
Carolina Public Health Association and to ask the Southeastern
Conference to join them. |
